The transmittance rate of UV light in the water will have a big impact on the disinfection rate. The process water with low transparency and more suspended substances will not only raise the cost for the UV system by higher dose requirement, but also add the higher cost of quartz sleeve cleaning system with better cleaning system. If the quartz sleeves are not cleaned properly for a long time, a layer of dirt will adhere to the surface of the quartz sleeve, blocking the penetration of ultraviolet rays, thus affecting the bactericidal effect. We might not use quartz sleeve cleaning system for ultraviolet sterilizers of pure water, tap water and drinking water for cost saving. We already recommend using quartz sleeve cleaner in the UV disinfection system for sewage and aquaculture water to improve the effect of ultraviolet sterilization and save the cost of maintenance.
